We are really adorable & playful. We are very comfortable with all people big and small.  And, we also don't mind those big furry barking animals, not sure what they are, but they are fun to climb on and play with.

 Name: LANDO

LANDO       (Declawed in Front)

This gorgeous adult male neutered cat was rescued from death row at the Memphis Animal Shelter on 12/18/04. He was quickly adopted to a nice couple whom he lived happily with  as an inside only, single pet until  05/05/07 when his owners divorced and suddenly returned him to us when neither was willing to take him with them when they moved :(  Lando is now approximately 4-5 yrs old. He is the most AWESOME cat. He is big, gentle & very lovable. He is very affectionate and whoever adopts him will be very lucky to have him. He is a little bit afraid of dogs & other cats but we think he would  adjust to a calm, gentle friend.  He loves to come and put his paws in your lap when you are sitting down right before he jumps up into it. He is most definitely a lap cat. Why his previous owner dumped him at a kill shelter & then adoptive parents were able to give him up is a mystery to us. He is as perfect as a cat can be. This guy has now been shuffled around  from home to home and needs a family committed to caring for him for the rest of his life. Do not apply for this guy unless you are sure you can commit to him. He deserves it.

KEELEY & Kittens

It had to be the Luck of the Irish that had Mama Kelley going in to labor in a nice, quiet mid-town neighborhood. You see Keeley was alone in the world and in a bad way, as she was due to have her litter any day and had no one to help her. But the Luck was on her side because just days after the arrival of her four babies she was found by a Good Samaritan and turned over to Guardian Angel Pet Rescue. Keeley and her babies are now safe, warm and, most of all, loved! The young Irish litter will not be ready for their forever home any time soon but in just a few short weeks they will be making their adoption day debut to find their forever families. While Memphis , TN , is far from the Emerald Isle Keeley finds that she likes the people and hopes to one day, when these youngsters are raised to find a home of her own. Keeley is a young girl herself, under a year, and only weighs about 7lbs and she is very sweet and friendly and loves to cuddle and purr for us! And while Keeley may believe that it was the fairies that saved her and her brood we know better and hope that the kindness that they expressed will continue to spread to other families that may want a wee bit of Irish luck living with them! It looks like we have a litter of boys! The babies are Declan, Liam and Teagan.

                                       LACY
                                     I am deaf.

You have to let me know you are going to pet me or it will scare me. When I become startled, I do hiss and spit, but think about it. If you did not hear someone coming up behind you and suddenly grab you what would you do. So approach me from the front and we can be best friends. A gorgeous cat from Olive Branch. She is a young female who is also in search of a forever home. She is very sweet and loving. She is totally vetted. Please fill out the GAPR online application if you are interested in adopting her.

 Name: DESI

DESI

This distinguished gentleman is Desi and he is as refined as he appears. Desi is a somewhat serious cat but can still tear it up with the other boys when he wants to. Desi was the smallest of his litter and it took him a little longer to walk and move around but he has certainly blossomed. Desi weighs about 8 lbs and will most likely not get much bigger. He is litter box trained, current on all vaccinations and tested negative for feline leukemia.

 HOKEY

Hokey was given up by his family due to financial problems and they’ve never returned to take him home. He is a large, blue shorthaired cat, weighs 14 lbs. and is 16 years old. He is up to date on vaccines, is neutered and housetrained. Hokey loves to be petted and to sit in your lap. He is known to nip you if you stop petting him and he still wants more loving. He is very healthy and came to Guardian Angel with his sister Pokey. They’ve been with us for three years. He gets along well with the other cats and dogs. He may not be the best cat for a home with small children since he nips for attention.      Fostered by:   Barbara Snodgras

 Name: Hillary

 Hillary

Hillary is an 1.5 yr old female calico kitten. She was rescued from the Memphis streets after she was spotted living behind a local veterinary clinic. She is very loving and loves to play. She is pretty feisty and will nip (not hard) if you stop scratching her too soon so she may not be the best choice for a small child who may get frightened. She loves to rub all over you when you are holding her. She practically jams her face into you trying to get as close as she can. She also loves to sleep in bed with her foster mom.She will make a wonderful pet for anyone looking for a well-adjusted, spunky,  hilarious kitty whose antics will keep you laughing for a lifetime. She's fine with dogs that are fine with cats. :)

 Name: MOZART

Mozart

Mozart was a street cat that got word of a guardian angel living in the neighborhood and decided he wanted some rescuing. He walked into her house and has declared it his own. He is very affectionate and very well fed. Mozart gets along with his other feline brethren and is thought to be around six years old. In typical feline mentality Mozart does not like dogs and tries his very best to intimidate them when he sees them. He has been tested for leukemia and aids and is negative. He is neutered and vaccinated and ready for his forever home.

K.K.
Ms. Kitty & K.K.
Ms. Kitty is a young female (stray) probably around 2 years age, and K.K. is her kitten who is about 4-6 months old. Ms. Kitty is very sweet and surprisingly affectionate. She does not show any hostility towards other cats. she can be picked up and carried her around indoors or outdoors. She doesn't even claw when she wants down. She is very gentle-natured and has not growled or hissed once at her foster mom. She will wander in the house if given the opportunity and is becoming calmer by the day. Unfortunately, her foster mom can not have her in the house due to the territoriality of her other two cats.

K.K. is another story. He will let you pet him briefly if he is eating, but typically is very skittish. However, he does not show any hostility even when cornered. All he needs is a little love and care to become used to adults.

Ms. Kitty is spayed and K.K. is neutered. Both are up to date on shots.

CHLOE
"The Fat Cat"

Hi my name is Chloe, and I have been asked if I could spare a few minutes of my busy day to tell ya'll a bit about myself. I am a princess and that is all you really need to know. I like to play but only after I have gotten to know you and once I deem you worthy I will let you cuddle and pet me. I am a shapely girl who would enjoy living in a home that is quiet, and preferably one where I am appreciated for all of my feline attributes. I have had my front claws removed to save myself time on grooming. My former owner did not work very much at socializing me so my adjustment into my foster home was a little stressful but now I rule them all with a furry paw. I live with two other cats and I like them just fine. Come out and meet me and I will see if we get along. Every house needs a good cat and seriously folks I am the best one there is!

 Name:  REESE
REESE
This is Reese and she joined the group under dire circumstances. Reese was an owner surrender, basically they no longer wanted a pet and we were to take her or they were going to kill her. Well we did and we are thankful for that. Reese is very sweet and loving. She is very talkative and likes to be held. Thankfully Reese has put her previous owners out of her mind and is ready to meet her new family.
